Bhavana
Bhavana Menon a very famous South Indian actress seen in a number of Malayalam as well as Tamil, Telugu and Kanada films. Born on the 6th of June into the Nair family to Pushpa and G. Balachandran Menon, an assistant cinematographer. Bhavana menon was named as Karthika Menon by her parents.
The actress made her debut with the movie Nammal in Malayalam alongside other newcomers which included Siddhart, Renuka Menon Jishnu. The movie was an instant success and her performance was appreciated by the audiences and it won her the Kerala State Special Jury Award. The actress ventured into movies in the year 2002 when she was in the 11th grade.
During a very short span of time in the industry the actress has managed effortlessly to make it big. She has been very lucky to work with some of the biggest names in Malayalam cinema including Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Mammootty and Jayaram. The actress gained recognition in the industry fast due to her amazing looks and her acting talent.
From Malayalam movies, Bhavana went into doing Tamil movies. Her first Tamil movie Chithiram Pesuthadi was opposite Narain and the movie was a huge success and got her a lot more offers in Tamil movies, she became an instant favorite of all the directors. In the Tamil film industry too Bhavana has worked with many big names like Madhavan, Ajith Kumar, Srikanth, Jayram Ravi and Bharath.
In her short span of time in the industry the actress has done over 30 movies to her credit in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. In the year 2003 Bhavana was a part of many successful movies like C.I.D Moosa, Swapnakoodu, Chronic Bachelor and many more movies. The year 2004 however was not a very good one for the actress, many of her movies like Bunglavil Outha; Youth Festival etc did not work well at the box office. In 2005 the actress made a comeback with movies like Naran, Udayananu, Chanthupottu, and Tharam which were huge hits. In the year 2006 she won her second Kerala state best actress award for the movie Daivanamathil. In 2007 she did a movie opposite the very famous Malayalam actor Mohanlal, Chotta Mumbai which was a blockbuster. After this year she concentrated more on Tamil cinema as she became the favourite of the directors there. In 2008 however she made a comeback into Malayalam cinema in the multi starrer movie Twenty: 20.
Some of her latest releases include happy husbands in Malayalam, Aasal in Kannada, and Jackie also in Kannada. Bhavana has been appreciated by all the audiences down south and is the current favorite of many directors. She is one of the most sort after actresses on the net as well by the audiences. Her wallpapers are among the most downloaded and her pictures and videos are the most viewed among the south Indian actresses. Be it Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada or Telugu the actress has done it all and has been very successful at it. She has made it very clear with her work that she is going to make it to the top and is going to stay there.
